TEENAGER LOSES ALMOST A DOZEN DEMERIT POINTS ON THE NORTH COAST

A Tweed Heads teenager has lost eleven demerit points in one day after he was caught speeding twice on the Far North Coast.

Police say the 17-year-old was driving more than 30km/hr over the speed limit on the M1 near Yamba.

Just two hours later, the P-plate driver was allegedly clocked going 163km/hr in a 110 zone.

His licence has been suspended and he was fined more than $3,000.
