A high demand for COVID-19 testing has seen clinic hours extended at Armidale and Inverell hospitals.
The request was granted by Hunter New England Health after a large number of community members pushed for an increase in operation.
The Armidale clinic will now operate from Monday to Friday, between 12 and 3pm, while Inverell will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The Health Department has also said hours may be further increased to match demand.
Bookings are essential and can be made by phoning the local hospital.
