ALLEGED HIT AND RUN | TWO CHILDREN KILLED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY CAR NEAR DUBBO

Two children have died, and a further three pedestrians have been injured after being struck by a car in the state’s Central West this afternoon.

About 4.30pm today, emergency services were called to Warne Street at Wellington, south of Dubbo, following reports five pedestrians had been struck by a car.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an adult and four children at the scene, however, two of the children later died.

The adult and two other children are being transferred to hospital – one in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit, who are en-route.

Police have been told the driver of the vehicle left the scene prior to their arrival.
