Comedian Mandy Nolan has announced her intention to enter federal politics.
The Byron Bay local confirming she’ll run for preselection as the Greens candidate in the division of Richmond.
Labor’s Justine Elliot has held the seat since 2004, winning at the last election by a margin of more than four percent.
In an online post, Nolan said, “Perhaps after the mess the dudes in suits have created, its finally time to send in the clowns.”
The Greens have until the end of February to decide who its candidate will be.
