A man has been badly injured and flown to hospital, after being hit by a falling piece of timber while demolishing a building at Clarence Town.
The timber had a nail in it, which was embedded in the 50-year-old’s head.
He was treated on the scene by paramedics and Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care team prior to being flown to the John Hunter.
He’s now in a stable condition.
