A man will face court after he allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test over the weekend.
Just after 2.30am on Saturday, police stopped a van on Beaumont Street at Hamilton.
The driver underwent a roadside breath test, was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station.
The man took another breath test at the station, returning a result of 0.085.
His licence was immediately suspended and he will appear at Newcastle Local Court next month.
