A SCORCHING WEEKEND AHEAD

We are now dealing with a heatwave that is heavily affecting inland regions of the north west. The air mass is so hot and dry no cloud can form over the centre of the nation. The heat will spill across the local region in the coming days.
The large high will move out over the Tasman and southern Coral Sea. This is going to allow a strong north-west airflow to develop over eastern Australia and this will force out the heat from the nation’s centre to the coast driving up temperatures, especially for the Greater Hunter with 43 the forecast for Newcastle on Sunday.
Sunday night’s change will be welcome.
Hot and dry for the weekend with strengthening NW to NE winds until Sunday evening’s southerly change comes through to cool things back down. The Moree plains and most of the north west will remain extremely hot all next week.
