RSPCA TIGHES HILL TO CLOSE IN DECEMBER

The RSPCA veterinary hospital at Tighes Hill is closing on December 1, as part of a plan to expand the hospital at Rutherford.

RSPCA NSW says the decision was made in order to centralise services across the region, with new consultation rooms, surgical offerings and specialist services to be included in the upgraded Rutherford facility.

“We have identified a need for these services to be available, and we hope that by expanding the facility and centralising our services and staff, we can help more people help more animals,” it says.

The expansion was made possible thanks to a generous donation bequeathed by the late Sheila Woodcock, a passionate animal lover and one of the organisation’s most dedicated supporters.
