RESTRICTIONS EASED IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

Great news for New South Wales residents – the government is rolling back COVID restrictions ahead of Christmas.

More patrons will soon be allowed inside pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Limits on numbers inside small hospitality venues – those up to 200 square metres – will be expanded to 50 people, not including staff.

And households limits will be increased to 30.

The changes are due to come in to effect from December 1, the same day residents from Greater Sydney will be allowed to travel north across the border into Queensland.

New South Wales has just recorded its 18th straight day of zero community transmission.
