A teenage boy has died after he fell into a waterhole on the Mid North Coast yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Potoroo Falls in Dingo Forest, 50km north-east from Taree, shortly before 3pm, when the 14-year-old didn’t resurface.
Officers from Manning-Great Lakes Police District coordinated a search for the teenager with assistance from police divers and Police Rescue.
About 8.40pm, divers recovered the boy’s body.
Inquiries continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
