Police have started investigations after a public place shooting at Lake Macquarie last night.
Just before 6pm, police were called to Ruttleys Road, Wyee, after reports of possible gun fire.
Officers attended and set up a crime scene at a home, where a number of bullet holes were found in a backyard shed.
No one was injured during the incident.
Early investigations suggest the shots may have been fired from a passing vessel on Wyee Creek.
