FURTHER CHARGES LAID OVER ALLEGED CENTRAL COAST HIT AND RUN

More charges have been laid against a man over an alleged fail to stop crash on the Central Coast earlier this year.

Just before 8.30am on July 4, emergency services were called to Blackwall Road in Woy Woy.

Officers received reports an 87-year-old pedestrian was hit by a white Toyota Corolla, who left the scene.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for suspected leg and hip fractures, before he was taken to Gosford Hospital.

Police started an investigation, and charged the Corolla driver, a 91-year-old Koolewong man.

The pedestrian died in hospital on Monday.

After further inquiries, the 91-year-old man has been charged with two additional offences – dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.

He’s due to appear at Gosford Local Court on November 19.
