A man has been taken to hospital after a crane flipped at Mayfield this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Industrial Drive just after 6am, where they found the crane on its side.
The driver, aged in his 40s, managed to escape the vehicle, and he was treated on scene for a head injury.
The man was later taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
New South Wales Duty Operations Manager, Jaime Warhurst is encouraging drivers to be extra careful on the roads in wet conditions.
“Getting behind the wheel of any vehicle can be extremely dangerous, please be aware of your surroundings and look out for each other. One small error has the potential to be fatal.”
