CHILD BADLY INJURED IN CRASH AT DUNDURRABIN

A child is in a critical condition after a car rolled off the road in an alleged drink-driving incident south of Grafton.
At about 3.45pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Armidale Road at Dundurrabin after a car rolled off the road.
Police believe the black Holden Commodore was travelling north when it left the road and went down an embankment, before rolling onto its side and crashing into a tree.
The driver, a 28-year-old woman, escaped from the vehicle but her passenger, a seven-year-old girl, became trapped.
The girl was freed a short time later and airlifted to Brisbane Children’s Hospital with serious head injuries.
The driver was arrested after she allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.
A breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.067.
