PANDEMIC CANCELS LISMORE LANTERN PARADE FOR 2020

The 2020 Lismore Lantern Parade has become yet another casualty of the pandemic.

Organisers of the event, usually held in June each year, had planned to instead hold a mini parade in November, but now that has been scrapped as well.

“We will come back and do something wonderful in 2021, and yes maybe, you know, we can sneak something in at Christmas,” Lismore Lantern Parade Director, Jyllie Jackson, said.

The Lantern Parade is continuing to seek donations for future projects. Donations can be made via their website.
