GAV’S WEATHER | WINTER RETURNS

There is something going on in the 4 corners of the nation.

The trough line has cleared from eastern QLD.

There is still plenty of activity crossing Victoria as conditions begin to swing back to wild winter like.

There’s also two cloud banks in the west.

The trough which extends into the northern tropics will link up with the deepening trough in the west.

The next major weather feature is the significant cold out break which will sweep across the SE tonight.

It will cause plenty of severe weather conditions.

This will drop temperatures locally for the weekend to the point that snow will fall on the Barringtons to Walcha. Strong to gale force winds are expected.

Winds will increase along with cloud during Friday.

Some showers around the higher peaks of the Greater Hunter and NSW ranges falling as snow across the higher ground above 1200m.

A chilly weekend is on the way.
