If you see a golfer in Hawks Nest looking especially chipper today, it might be because they just discovered they won more than $55,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The New South Wales patron held a Keno Classic Ways winning entry in game 611 played on Thursday September 17.
However, how the punter plans to use their Keno fortune will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning Keno entry was purchased at Hawks Nest Golf Club. The General Manager Greg Argret said he couldn’t be happier for the winner.
“It’s great news for the winner,” he said.
“We wish them all the best. We couldn’t be more thrilled.
“It’s excellent for the winner, the club and the community.
“Hopefully this is the start of a winning streak and we have some more major prize wins.
“It’s certainly created a buzz in the venue too!”
Keno spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the Keno winner was celebrating by spending some more time on the golf course.
“While we may never know exactly how the mystery winner will enjoy their Keno prize, I have no doubt it has put a smile on their dial,” she said.
“In the past, our Keno winners have used their prize to renovate their home, go on family golfing or fishing trips, or book an adrenaline-pumping activity like skydiving.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall, we are sure they are celebrating winning this fantastic prize!”
