A man has been pulled from the water at Manning Point, after he tried to swim after his boat on the Manning River.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the area at 3pm, as paramedics tried to resuscitate the man for almost an hour, but sadly, he died at the scene.
It’s understood he was launching the boat from a nearby boat ramp, when it got away from him and he tried to swim after it.
Police say the man was holidaying in the area from Umina on the Central Coast
