GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN FOR JOEL DARK CLOSING IN ON $100,000

The GoFundMe campaign for injured rugby league player Joel Dark has raised more than $85,000.

More than 800 donors have contributed, including current NRL players and legends of the game.

The 19-year-old from Old Bar on the Mid North Coast remains in a critical condition at John Hunter Hospital after collapsing in his debut match for Central Newcastle in the Newcastle Rugby League competition on Sunday.

Joel Dark’s family has requested their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

Joel is the cousin of Sydney Roosters, NSW and Australian captain Boyd Cordner.
