FAMILY IN SERIOUS CONDITION FOLLOWING SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH
A mother and her two children are being treated at John Hunter Hospital after their vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree on Nowendoc Road, Mount Gorge, west of Taree.
The family were trapped in the vehicle when emergency services arrived just after 6:30pm last night.
Once released from the wreckage a 6 year old girl was treated for a serious head injury and placed onto Life Support by the Rescue Helicopters, Critical Care Medical Team.
Her 11 year old sister was treated and stabilised for serious leg and chest injuries.
Both were flown to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle.
A second Rescue Helicopter later transported the 30-year-old female suffering serious leg and arm injuries.
