MAN KILLED WHILE WALKING ON THE PACIFIC HIGHWAY AT NABIAC

A man has died after being hit by a truck while walking along the Pacific Highway at Nabiac in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were called out to the highway, 20km north west of Forster, around 3.45am after a truck, travelling north, stuck a man on the road.

The victim, believed to be aged in his 20s, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 60-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing, while a crime scene was established.

Police are calling on anyone with dashcam vision who may have been in the area at the time, particularly on the Pacific Highway between the Nabiac service station and Woosters Lane, to come forward as they investigate the horrific incident.
