THREE CHARGED OVER CENTRAL COAST POLICE PURSUIT AND COLLISION

Police are asking the public to help them investigate a pursuit and crash on the Central Coast on Saturday.

Just before 4pm, officers tried to stop a reportedly stolen silver Volkswagen Golf at Empire Bay.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit started, and a marked police vehicle was allegedly rammed.

Just after the pursuit was terminated the Volkswagen and a blue MG wagon collided on Empire Bay Drive.

The Volkswagen driver, a 31-year-old man, and his passengers, two men aged in their 20s, were arrested.

The passengers were taken to Gosford Police Station, and the driver was taken to Gosford Hospital for facial injuries, while under police guard.

The three men were all charged and remain before the Courts.

The driver of the MG, a 71-year-old man, suffered an arm injury and was also taken to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Investigators are now asking anyone who was near Empire Bay Drive on Saturday and saw the crash, or anyone with dashcam footage at that time to come forward.
