Another round of dredging work will soon begin in the effort to alleviate the continual build up of sand in Swansea Channel.
From September, 10,000 cubic metres of sand will be taken out and placed in to storage, before the October long weekend.
Transport for New South Wales says boat users will benefit from improvements to the area, known as the ‘dog-leg’.
The state-funded dredge will arrive later this month.
The works come after more than 230 calls for help to Marine Rescue in the last six months, with the majority of those calls resulting in tows.
The state government is yet to announce a long-term solution to the problem.
