Tamworth construction crews are working to upgrade an old water main on Armidale Road.
The project ensuring Nemingha, Kootingal and Moonbi are connected to a reliable water supply.
“We’re replacing two kilometres of water main, so, a 500 metre water main that’s the primary water supply for Nemingha, Kootingal and Moonbi. What we’re looking to do is put a smaller, polyethaline main inside that pipe.”
Council has forked out more than $1.4 million for the works, which are expected to be complete by mid-November.
