Victoria has set another new daily case record, recording 725 new COVID-19 infections overnight.
It comes as the state enters strict stage four lockdown.
Meanwhile, 12 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in New South Wales.
Of those cases, one is a traveller in hotel quaratine and one is locally acquired with an unknown source.
The remaining 10 are linked to known cases:
- two from the Thai Rock restaurant at Wetherill Park
- two from the Apollo restaurant at Potts Point
- six are associated with the funeral gatherings cluster in Sydney
