UPPER HUNTER RESIDENTS ADVISED TO BOIL WATER

Upper Hunter residents are being advised to boil their drinking water.

Days of heavy rain has stirred up sediment in the Aberdeen River, significantly reducing the quality of the water in Glenbawn Dam.

Authorities say boiled water should also be used for food preparation, for brushing teeth and in pet’s water bowls.

The issue affects residents of Scone, Aberdeen and Murrurundi.
