MAN PUSHES WOMAN TO THE GROUND NEAR COFFS HARBOUR

Police are asking for the public’s help, after a woman was pushed to the ground and intimidated by a man near Coffs Harbour.

The 48-year-old woman was walking south along Moonee Beach near the sand dunes yesterday, between 2.00 and 2.30pm, when she spotted a man walking towards her.

Police were told the man walked past her, then returned a short time later, grabbing her from behind and pushing her to the ground.

She struggled and eventually freed herself, and the man fled east towards Moonee Creek.

The woman wasn’t injured in the encounter.

Police are looking for a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, between 175 and 180 centimetres tall, with a medium build and short dark hair.

He was last seen near a boat ramp at a caravan park wearing no shirt, two-toned blue boardshorts and a white towel.
