Frightening scenes, reminiscent of the Pasha Bulka storm, had residents on edge last night – as flash flooding swamped parts of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
But despite the obvious dangers, some drivers pushed on through water up to a metre deep, prompting a fresh warning from the SES.
