COVID-19 UPDATE – NO NEW CASES IN THE HUNTER

After several COVID-19 cases diagnosed in the Hunter earlier this week, there are no new cases for the second day in a row.

There are currently three active cases at Port Stephens and two in Lake Macquarie.

Tomaree Community Hospital is running two COVID-19 testing options:

– The HNE Health clinic is open from 8am to 4pm, seven days a week by appointment only. To book an appointment, please call 4964 7497 between 8am-4pm.

– The Laverty Pathology COVID-19 Clinic is open from 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 2.30pm this Saturday and Sunday. A GP pathology referral is required prior to attending this clinic.

Testing is also available at the new COVID-19 drive through testing clinic at the Tomaree Sports Complex (20 Aquatic Close, Nelson Bay). This clinic operates 8am-4pm seven days, however hours will be extended as required to meet demand.

Testing is also available at local GP clinics, and at a number of hospitals in the Hunter region.
