ALLEGED ROBBER STOPPED IN HER TRACKS BY BARKING DOGS AT MAYFIELD WEST

A woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly breaking into several homes in Mayfield West on Friday.

The alleged thief was disrupted by several local dogs who alerted their owners.

Police responded to calls for help, finding the 28-year-old woman hiding in a detached garage at one of the properties.

The woman was found with mail from multiple addresses.

She was charged with break and enter, goods in custody and two outstanding warrants.

She was bail refused to appear before Newcastle Local Court on Monday.
