INTENSIVE ENGLISH CENTRE TO OPEN IN ARMIDALE FOR YAZIDI STUDENTS

The introduction of the state’s only Intensive English Centre has been announced in Armidale.

It will cater for Armidale’s Yazidi students, by mentoring them on how to speak and read english fluently.

“It’s about giving them that intensive English tuition to get their language skills, both oral and written, up to speed, so that they can actively participate in mainstream education at the school.”

The centre will be part of the $121-million development of the town’s Secondary College.
