GAV’S WEATHER | WET WEATHER AND ANOTHER LOW IS ON THE WAY

Cloud is increasing over eastern Australia and rain has been affecting Queensland.

The cloud in the east is the main feature as the system intensifies.

The remainder of the country is clear.

On the synoptic chart, two large high pressure systems – one over the south-east and the other over the south-west – will keep these regions clear and calm.

The trough in the east will move south along the Queensland coast.

The wet weather will begin to affect the north-east corner of New South Wales and the south-east corner of Queensland from tomorrow, as the deepening trough moves south.

It’s likely to deepen into a low across the weekend helping to deliver widespread rain to all regions.

As the low forms early next week, there will be more heavy rain, strong winds, and large swell for the New South Wales coast.
