Lismore’s Crozier Field and Oakes Oval have been earmarked for a $12 million upgrade.
A development application has been lodged with Lismore City Council to transform the playing fields.
The facelift, set to benefit several local sporting codes, including Rugby League, Rugby Union, AFL, Cricket and Football.
“We certainly applaud the motivations to increase the level of facilities here in Lismore,” Steve Mackney, General Manager of Football Far North Coast, said.
It’s hoped the upgrade will also help attract professional pre-season matches to the region.
