An ex-priest, accused of sexually assaulting more than 40 children, has died.
It’s understood David Joseph Perrett passed away from natural causes at an Armidale care facility last Thursday.
The 82-year-old had denied more than 100 allegations of historic child sex abuse and was due to stand trial in six months.
The case is expected to be formally dismissed.
