MAN FOUND WITH COMMERCIAL QUANTITY OF MAGIC MUSHROOMS
A Hunter man will face court today after police allegedly found a commercial quantity of ‘magic mushrooms’ in his car, last month.
Police were travelling along Raymond Terrace Road at Nelson Plains just after 1pm on May 1, when they noticed a grey Holden Cruze parked on the side of the road.
Officers spoke with the driver, a 19-year-old man, and searched his car.
They found more than 120 grams of ‘magic mushrooms’, as well as cannabis, drug paraphernalia and cash.
He was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and charged with several offences including supplying prohibited drugs, larger than a commercial quantity.
He faced Newcastle Local Court on May 2, and was granted conditional bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court today.
