MAN DIES, TWO SERIOUSLY INJURED IN GUNNEDAH CRASH

A man has died, and two others are recovering in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s north-west last night.

Emergency services were called to Quia Road just after midnight, following reports a Mitsubishi Mirage lost control and left the road, before rolling and landing on its roof.

Two male passengers, both aged 23, climbed out to try and help the driver, a 28-year-old man.

However, when paramedics arrived, the driver was confirmed deceased.

The two passengers were treated at the scene.

One of the men was taken to Gunnedah Hospital before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

The second man was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
