The federal government is investing almost $1.8-million to upgrade Armidale Airport.
Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, says the money will go towards a terminal upgrade, a new CCTV network and the installation of new security screens.
The security equipment is expected to arrive in October and the government will call for tenders by the end of the year.
