SWANSEA COUPLE CLAIM $1.2 MILLION LOTTO WIN

A couple from Swansea has come forward to claim their $1.2 million dollar lotto prize.

The new millionaires, who wish to remain anonymous, plan to spend the money on a complete home renovation.

As their ticket was unregistered, officials had to wait for the couple to collect their prize.

“We’ve played for a long time,” the winning woman explained.

“I checked the numbers in the Sunday paper and when I saw we’d won, I was sort of numb. We don’t win these sort of things.”

The winning entry was purchased at Swansea Newsagency.

Newsagency owner Wayne Blackmore said he was glad they discovered their winnings.

“We would like to congratulate our winner and thank them for shopping at our store. We are so happy – it almost feels as though we have won ourselves.”
