Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson is again pushing to have environment releases from Chaffey Dam ceased – despite having promised this was already the case eight days ago.
An average of nine megalitres is being released from the dam daily – crippling Tamworth’s water supply.
Water New South Wales has confirmed that the process will continue until approval for a dam pipeline is complete – leaving many, feeling confused.
“This is about conserving as much water in Chaffey Dam for the people of Tamworth, for as long as possible.”
It’s understood talks on the matter are continuing.
