WOMAN ADMITS TO CAUSING FATAL CRASH

A driver has admitted to causing a crash which claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman at Lake Macquarie in May last year.

31-year-old Peta Warland was under the influence of cannabis when her car crossed to the wrong side of the Pacific Highway at Belmont, and slammed into another vehicle – killing the driver.

Today Warland pleaded guilty to dangerous driving occasioning death – a sentence date will be set next month.
