The baseball season has come to an abrupt end.
Baseball Australia confirming the 20-20 Little League and Senior League will not go ahead due to COVID-19.
The organisation says cancelling the major events was a tough decision and there was a lot to consider.
“We’ve got to look out for the interest of everyone going through to the state championships. We want to make sure the kids are going to be safe, the parents are going to be safe, grandparents are going to come along… It’s a very community orientated event.”
Baseball Australia is encouraging players not to lose hope, promising a bigger and better season next year.
“Keep training, keep working, keep being involved and be ready to go once the season kicks off again.”
