Rex Airlines has announced all passengers on all flights will be required to wear a face mask from the first of next month.
The airline, which is operating two flights each week out of the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, says passengers will need to supply their own mask or they could be denied boarding.
Meanwhile, Qantas and Jetstar will provide masks to all passengers but wearing them will not be compulsory.
