FACE TO FACE LEARNING TO RETURN – NEWCASTLE UNIVERISTY

Newcastle University has outlined its plans to return to face to face learning next semester.

Semester two will commence on Monday August 3, two weeks later than first planned.

Large classes will remain online, while smaller ones will return to the classroom.

Formal lab and practical sessions that cannot be run online will be run on campus.

Classes were moved online weeks ago, when social distancing restrictions were enforced.

Newcastle University has given all students an automatic 14 calendar day extension for any one individual assessment item within each of their courses, without having to submit special considerations.

The exam period for Semester 1 will now take place from July 6 to 17 and will be conducted online.
