SEMI-TRAILER GOES UP IN FLAMES ON THE M1

A B-Double has gone up in flames overnight, destroying thousands of dollars worth of groceries on the M1 west of Toronto.

Several nearby rural fire brigades and Toronto fire and rescue responded to the blaze just after 11pm.

Crews worked to extinguish the fire including unloading the damaged goods from the trailers.

The driver of the B-Double was not injured.

The M1 just past Freemans Drive northbound was closed for 7 hours.
