ADOPT A KOALA FOR MUM THIS MOTHERS DAY?

Port Macquarie’s Billabong Zoo is now allowing you to adopt a koala to support its world renowned breeding program.

Eight of the zoo’s koalas are up for adoption, including fan favourite Mr Magoo.

It’s estimated more than 350 koalas were killed just on the Mid North Coast during last summer’s devastating bushfires.

Billabong Zoo is now trying to restore the local koala population through its Koala Breeding Centre.

Koalas can be adopted for $90 – which gets adopters a photo, Certificate of Adoption, a paw print of your koala and subscription to the zoo’s newsletter.

In case you’re wondering, the animals themselves will remain in the care of experts at the breeding centre.

Visit Billabong Zoo website for more details.
