A 31-year-old man has been killed in a head-on collision in the state’s far north overnight.
The incident occurred just before 11 o’clock on Lagoon Creek Bridge, north of Casino, when a tipper truck and car collided.
The man, driving the car, died at the scene.
The 36-year-old female truck driver was transported to Casino Memorial Hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
