MAN CHARGED OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGE BOY IN THE STATE’S NORTH

A 59-year-old man has been charged after allegedly sexually abusing a teenage boy, who was known to him, at a home in Grafton.

Police allege the man sexually assaulted the boy – then aged between 14 and 15 – in September last year.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex crimes Squad began launched an investigation last November and in March the man was arrested.

A number of electronic items were seized from the man’s home.

The man has been charged with two counts of aggravated intentionally do sexual act with child (between 10 and 16 years) and procure child for unlawful sexual activity.

He’ll front Grafton local court today.
