A home in the Hunter has been damaged by a fire this morning.
Crews were called to Aberdare Street in Kurri Kurri just after 10 o’clock, to find the house well alight.
Fire and Rescue Rutherford says all occupants were accounted for, and the fire was contained to the rear of the house.
Fire crews are reminding Hunter residents to stay vigilant as winter approaches, to ‘keep it a metre from the heater’ and ‘keep looking when cooking’.
