COVID-19 CLINICS TO OPERATE IN TAMWORTH, ARMIDALE FROM MONDAY

Specialised COVID-19 clinics will operate in Tamworth and Armidale, from Monday.

The town’s hospitals will host the pop-ups for a week.

Hunter New England Health is hopeful the blitz will help it to identify areas where testing numbers have been low.

Residents across the region are being encouraged to take a test, especially if they are experiencing symptoms.

“In recent weeks, we’ve had unknown source cases in both Armidale and Tamworth. So, it’s critical that we make sure that there isn’t any virus circulating in the community. Now’s your chance to get screened, for free, at either Tamworth or Armidale emergency department.”

Armidale’s clinic will run until Friday while Tamworth’s will remain open until Sunday.
