Four separate fires tested crews across the Hunter overnight and into this morning.
Firefighters responded to blazes in Wyndrow Parade Maryland, Vogele Place Raymond Terrace, Pitt Street Stockton, and John Street Cardiff.
The fire there, which began at around 8:30 last night, destroyed a backyard shed and came dangerously close to homes.
Thankfully nobody was hurt and the blaze was extinguished before it could cause any substantive damage.
Police say it may have been caused by an electrical problem – the shed was full of building supplies.
